As Uperio Group embarks on a new chapter, the incoming CEO aims to build on the foundation laid by founder Philippe Cohet, ensuring the company’s continued dominance in the tower crane industry.

Sébastien Desreumaux has been appointed as the new CEO of Uperio Group, succeeding President and Founder Philippe Cohet, who will remain engaged with the company as a member of the supervisory board. Desreumaux expressed his gratitude to Cohet for facilitating a seamless transition, emphasizing his commitment to steering the company’s growth and innovation in the tower crane sector.

Having served as Deputy CEO over the past year, Desreumaux has gained invaluable experience within Uperio Group, positioning him well to lead the organization into its next phase. Uperio Group is recognized as a leading provider of tower crane solutions, offering a comprehensive suite of services that includes tower crane sales, rentals, and manufacturing. The company produces the Arcomet self-erecting cranes and the Opti crane, catering to contractors, roofers, and carpenters.

The formation of Uperio Group resulted from the merger of the French company Matebat and the Belgian firm Arcomet, expanding its reach across nine countries. With a workforce of over 600 employees and a fleet exceeding 2,200 tower cranes, Uperio Group maintains a robust global presence, bolstered by its network of 25 depots worldwide.
